Dr. Derek Lou is a plastic surgeon with extensive training in both cosmetic, reconstructive, hand, and burn surgery. He is pleased to provide laser skin therapy using the cutting edge Cutera Xeo platform, featuring the LimeLight Facial™, Laser Genesis, ProWave 770™ Hair Removal, and CoolGlide Excel® Vascular Lasers, as well as the new Pearl™ rejuvenation and Titan® skin tightening technology. All laser procedures at Lou Plastic Surgery are under the supervision of Dr. Lou and performed by a Cutera-trained operator. We aim to provide honest, effective, and personal service to all of our customers.
Consultations and Appointments
Consultations with our staff for hair removal and varicose vein therapy are not required but are recommended; consultations for skin rejuvenation are required. Consultation fee with Dr. Lou is $50, which can be credited towards laser therapy charges. Appointments for therapy need to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance, and patients with missed appointments without cancellation will be subject to a $50 charge. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes or earlier before your appointment so we can help you prepare for your treatment.
Things to Consider Before Laser Treatments
There are a few things to keep in mind before undergoing any laser therapy. Our goal with laser therapy is to provide maximum benefit while minimizing any potential unwanted side effects. There are several conditions that may delay or be contraindicated for laser therapy: pregnancy , heavy sun exposure or recent tanning, skin cancer, some skin conditions, and active skin lesions, recent waxing, plucking, or electrolysis, history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring.
