Hand Surgery


Dr. Lou also performs a wide array of surgeries for various basic problems of the hand.

Problems that Dr. Lou manages include:
• fractures of the hand and fingers
• tendon, nerve, and skin lacerations
• basic management of joints
• nail / nailbed / fingertip injury
• crush injuries
• amputations
• management of ganglion cysts and growths
• nerve compression (eg. carpal tunnel syndrome)
• trigger fingers
• Dupuytren’s and de Quervain’s disease
• cancer of the hand and arm

Areas that Dr. Lou does not manage include:
• fractures of the arm, elbow, and forearm
• rheumatoid arthritis of the hand
• congenital or birth related problems of the hand
