"The best!"- J.L. / Google / Aug 01, 2020
"From start to finish the level of care I received was always at a 10!! I went in for a consultation on a few problem areas of mine I was considering filler for. I had gotten a botched lip filler job years back from an untrustworthy source so I was scared of getting my lips or any injectable a again. Dr. Lou and his staff listened to all my fears and concerns and presented me with several options. They helped remove all my reservations and fears, they are very knowledge and reassuring. Dr. Lou & Erika helped me on my visit and truly put me at ease. I was a little nervous for pricing but I found it to be quite reasonable if you have any fears or uncertainties the consultation is well worth it. There was no pressure and it was a very pleasant process overall. I got filler in my lips and on a small bump on my nose all with one syringe!!! I was going for subtle and kissable and that’s exactly what I got! I’m really happy with my results so if your considering anything rest assured you’ll be in good hands."- M.A. / Google / Jul 28, 2020
Fractora Ideal Candidates
Fractora is geared toward patients who are unsatisfied with their overall complexion. If you see sun-damaged skin, age spots, acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, or redness issues, this procedure may help correct these imperfections. Also, it is wonderful if you have rough texture, scaly patches, or other skin surface problems. Fractora isn't suggested for anyone who has very dark skin tones or active acne outbreaks. In addition, it's important to understand that there is a recovery period needed after laser therapy. Certain patients, based on their skin condition, may require as much as 2 – 3 weeks to recover.
Fractora Procedure Technique
Medication may be given prior to the procedure to help reduce any pain so you can relax throughout your appointment. Depending on the depth of your treatment and the size of the treatment area, local anesthesia or a form of sedation may be necessary. Throughout the procedure, you can relax in our special treatment chair while the Fractora handpiece passes over your skin, directly targeting the designated areas for improvement. The laser energy is designed to destroy damaged skin cells while also prompting new collagen growth.
Fractora What to Expect
The treated skin may be pink, and there may be some swelling and irritation following treatment. These symptoms subside in a few days and the skin peeling process will occur over a 3 – 5-day period. The treatment sections may be protected with dressings and the irritation, swelling, and burning sensation may be intensified. Pain medication can be prescribed to help reduce these symptoms. The downtime may last as long as several weeks. Every patient needs to limit their UV exposure following their laser treatment and use sun protection regularly. Following Fractora treatment, the treated skin will naturally crust, flake, and peel off. It's important to avoid accelerating the recovery process to prevent scarring and to shield your face from sun exposure. After the peeling is finished, the treated skin should feel smoother while also appearing rejuvenated, younger, and clearer.
How much does Fractora cost?
Your skin resurfacing cost will vary, depending on the size of the treatment area and your desired results. During your initial consultation, Dr. Lou will listen to your concerns and wants before explaining what to expect from the procedure. After this, a member of our team will speak with you about costs. Lou Plastic Surgery regularly offers skin treatment specials and discounted packages so be sure to ask at your appointment.
How can I help my skin recover after a resurfacing treatment?
Dr. Lou or someone on his staff will give you tips on ways to speed skin healing following your Fractora resurfacing treatment. The most important rule is to not peel or pick flaking skin. Doing this can cause long-term damage, like scars. You need to forgo all hair removal methods on the treated skin, which includes waxing, shaving, or depilatory creams. We can suggest creams to help soothe treated areas.
