Liposuction Surgical Procedure
During your liposuction surgery, our board-certified plastic surgeon will make incisions around your body contouring areas where excess fat has accumulated. A liposuction cannula is inserted into these incisions and suctions the fat cells. The traditional liposuction procedure at our Houston clinic lasts about 60 minutes per treatment area. Patients are given local anesthetic with sedation or general anesthesia depending on their preferences as well as any medical conditions they have.

What is your liposuction cost estimate?
Liposuction cost is determined by the technique used and number of areas treated. At your initial consultation with Dr. Lou, you will discuss your priorities and goals. From there, estimated costs are provided in addition to information regarding low-interest medical financing. What is the healing process like after getting liposuction?
Most patients experience significant swelling and bruising following this cosmetic surgery. This is completely normal and resolves with healing and time. Initially, swelling causes many patients to appear the same size as before surgery. While healing, some may even weigh more due to the extra fluid in the body. This is also normal and improves with time. It's typical for swelling to persist for 4-6 weeks. Strenuous exercise should be avoided until you are cleared by Dr. Lou. Normal daily activities can be resumed as soon as you feel well.
